Was HF21 a success?

On August 27th, Steem had its highly anticipated HF21, which included the EiP & SPS.

Now, two weeks later, I'm seeing people assessing the success of said hardfork and its changes, by comparing it with the reactions on the price movement.

Essentially saying:

While I can understand these thoughts, it's the wrong believe schema to expect the price to reflect the EiP changes in any meaningful way over the short-term period.

Why? Well, the EiP (50/50, Partially Free Downvotes, Non-Linear Curve) and SPS are just part of the first batch of medicines Steem and its ecosystem have to take, in order to throw away all the trash & bad actors and to cleanse all the bad behavioural patterns it incentivized over the time.

And unless you're a wizard and your medicine is magic, the medicine is only supposed to aid in the healing process and usually, it gets worse until it gets better.

Also, we most likely have to adapt even further on what the current system incentivizes and what we want it to incentivize, resulting in more changes.

Essentially, Steem is a long term game, a huge innovation that requires experimentation and development. But the good thing is: everyone here can influence its future and even be rewarded for it.
