BDExchange is a peer to peer Discord exchange bot that uses Steem Blockchain's escrow features to make the exchange trustless between two server members. It is the hosted version of Escrow Bot which I released last week.
Though the final version was released last week we have been testing it for weeks, also made lots of test transaction simulating different situations. The bot was all set and ready to secure transactions between two parties but has not been used much in the Discord server other than to check current STEEM/SBD price or balance of a user.
This morning one of our server moderators @zaku exchanged 30 SBD for fiat money (Bangladeshi Taka) with another server member @albart - making it the first transaction outside of test environment for the bot. The transaction was a success, the bot performed as expected. But as the process is somewhat new and many of our server members are not aware of the process, we had to assist them.
This bot can be used in any transaction where both parties don't know and/or trust each other and willing to take STEEM or SBD as payment in exchange for commodity or service they are offering. I am hoping that more and more will use it to transact securely.
