Steem was very much ahead of its day as Dan Larimer proposed DAC in papers early in the crypto scene.
Even though the steem/hive interface is very intuitive, the way you go about maintaining your keys would confuse many. The ones who did understand, obtained a very technical set of skills.
Long story short. The devs and users of these platforms are some of the smartest people!
