Poverty in Africa has become one disease that seems not to have cure and almost 95% of Africans are being affected with poverty rate. A research done some times ago says that an average African lives less than $1 dollar a day. Children are victim of poverty in African countries and that has caused high rate of children mortality. What is the cause of this poverty? and How can poverty rate be reduced in Africa.
First lets discuss the cause of poverty in African countries before talking about how it can ameliorated. One of the reason why there are high rate of poverty in Africa is the influence of the bad government officials ruling the nations and their selfish greed and that has cause great devastation to the growth of African economy.
Another reason why poverty rate is high in Africa nations is the high level of illiteracy. From my survey, 45% out of 100% are educated while the other one's couldn't read or write and that has made many of them depend solely on those whom they regard as top people to make decisions for them and that continue to diminish their progress which makes them unable to contribute to the development of the African nation.
Moreover, insufficient infrastructure in this nations has also contributed immensely to poverty in African countries. Bad roads, poor pipe borne water, poor electricity system, poor technical know how and so on.
Now how can we reduce the level of poverty in this nations:
One way that poverty rate can be reduce in African nations is by appointing leaders who have the good of their citizen at heart and who are ready to help the nation so that it can be a better place for all to live.
Another way is to help in educating the uneducated one so that they can bring out their Gods given gift in making decisions that will affect the nations positively.
The third way we can help reduce the poverty state of African nation is by providing sufficient and accurate working infrastructures and monitoring their efficiency in order to elevate the economy of the nation.
