Live Location is a new feature that will be available on Android and iOS devices starting today. As presented by WhatsApp on its official website, the app developer has confirmed Live Location will be rolling out gradually around the world in the coming weeks.
This Live Location feature will allow WhatsApp users to share their location in real-time with family and friends. This is an end-to-end encrypted feature that lets users control who they can share with their location and for how long.
If you use WhatsApp on a daily basis, Live Location is very easy to use. Just open the chat tab with the people or groups you want to share, tap the Location option and select "Share Live Location".
You can choose how long you want to share your location and any contacts that will receive your location information in real-time. Additionally, if more than one person shares their Live Location in a group, all locations will be visible on the same map.
Apparently, Live Location is an update from the server side, so you do not need to do anything to enable it, so you just simply check your app to see if this feature is already enabled or not. (Nariswari / Galing)
