2012 or even before. and those people who mined and hodled through the peaks and dips ended up just making so much more than if they risked trading, remember you cant worry about steem being at 8 dollars or EOS being at 20 and not having sold.
First of all Eos Will start to de couple from bitcoin and make great strides in the name of all Dpos chains and by 2020 we will finally start to see I ter blockchain communication and EOS being used to host steem in some ways and also interactions between Steem and other EOSio chains like the main EOS, Telos, Warbly and other EOS.io chains that steem can talk to and when steem talks to EOS we can integrate SMTs in by 2021 I feel we can start doing amazing things right here on steem from Notary services, Real estate, insurance, all using EOS as the backbone and steem as a sort of blockchain front end that will then have Dapps and android and I OS front ends and web front ends like Amazon web services and this will allow everyone to have access to this decentralized smeat contract steem social media network and with hivemind communities we can even have custom sub reddit style decentralized companies working on a simple app like steepshot where u can login simply with steem connect or even some crazy eos based apple iPhone login security privacy system with eos privacy enclave, and THEN you can use EOS smart contract features with something like scatter installed inside steepshot. future so bright
