My Charcoal Drawing | Sea Turtle

2018-03-13 12.35.24.jpg

This is my recent realistic charcoal drawing I would like to share with steemitians. Besides portraits and figurative drawings, animal is one of my favorite subjects.
I drew quite a number of wildlife animals but not the sea creatures.

I am always wondering how they will appear in a black and white charcoal drawing. With their unique shape and texture, swimming in a background of deep blue sea is an interesting subject to be explored.

For this sea turtle drawing, I used charcoal powder on A3 size Bristol white and it's took two days to be completed. I think the result is quite mesmerized.

Here is the process

I began with drew the outlines then shade the head area.

I used dark and grey tone to created the background depth.

To make it more intresting, I drew the shadow to create 3D vision.
