[STEEM QUESTION] Is there some place where one could get a gauge of the activity that goes on on Steem? I've seen high transaction numbers, but wondering how they break down, how many of them are financial transactions, how many entities have a balance?

I was asked this question yesterday by the guys at bitrefill.com — I’m trying to find an answer for them, could anybody point me in the right direction for the second part? I’ve already pointed them at blocktivity.info for the activity on the blockchain but that does not cover FINANCIALS as such.

Is there anywhere aside from in the marketplace of our own accounts where we can get that information and also WHY we don’t already have something like that accessible from the steemit/busy platforms? - it’s great that we have a developer portal for coders wanting to get started but I think a lot of companies that want to integrate STEEM maybe need some financial data sets as well as numbers of transactions per day on the blockchain.

if not stated some of my photos are from unsplash a free site for images, also you can grab some cool images from nomad.pictures a site i run with @dayleeo to get pictures out of the camera roll and onto the web — Photo by Carlos Muza on Unsplash

I think if we could deploy this stuff in an easy, accessible location it would may my job of ‘conduit’ between the idea and the data they need to realise it a lot easier. My question yesterday was two-fold — would they add support for STEEM and/or SBD and would they be interested to build in ‘pots’ giving us ability to share a link to a ‘pot’ in a more human way taking into account maybe people not understanding how to send bitcoin yet and for doing micro transactions (like gifting we see now on @dlive) but towards weekly or monthly bills that people have.

Any help on this topic would be great! :)
