Crypto Assault (Game Review) - Now Let's Prepare For War

I've been a gamer right from my childhood, though I had to pause for a while, but thanks to @oracle-d for this wake-up post that has re-ignited the lost passion in me. Here, we will be taking a look at a particular game that I have found interesting, and I believe that after reading through, you would know my reasons. Have you ever imagined being in a 3D gaming environment and battle against hundreds to thousands of users (which are the players), while at the same time earning units of crypto currency? Well, I present to you Crypto Assault.

WHAT IS CRYPTO ASSAULT?

Crypto Assault is a gaming DApp developed by CryptoAssault inc; headed by Dan Chao; to run on the Ethereum erc-721 blockchain, and this game currently occupies the 40th position in the ranking of the StateOfTheDApps. The purpose of this game is to build a virtual combat army in a 3D virtual world, and this army would be equipped to take on the other virtual armies from other players. This battle would be a battle of territories, while at the same time mining crypto resources. This is just like a way of rewarding you in cryptocurrency for playing games. And as you keep on playing, there would be daily rewards of etheruem-based tokens - that is; if you are able to take supremacy over your territory and taking control of others too.

To begin the gaming process the individual players would have to purchase units of the gaming tokens using ethereum. These units would grant you access into the gaming environment. And as the battle proceeds, your available tokens (token balance) would be dependent on your wins/losses. For example; if you launch a major brutal assault on an opposing army, it would be at the expense of their units, while your own units would be increasing. Units can be re-fueled by purchasing more of the tokens using ethereum.

As your command is increasing, your control of units would be increasing as well, and these tradable tokens can be converted to ethereum and/or other cryptocurrencies.

More so, to further equip your army, you can purchase assault weapons, tanks, guns, full arsenal etc - with ethereum, and also you can form allies and affiliation with other players to create a formidable army to take on more territories and gain more units. So basically, you mine cryptocurrency by just playing the game.

BLOCKCHAIN + GAMING = CRYPTO ASSAULT

With the tokenization of this gaming platform, and with the blockchain technology, the activities performed within the gaming enviroment would remain immutable, and every of your levels and territories conquered can be stored for further referencing. Also, on a daily basis, there is meant to be a satellite crash. So the more territories you claim, the more you stand the chance of the satellite crashing into your territory, and these satellites carry the etheruem-based tokens. So if it crashes into your territory, the tokens would be all yours, and would be moved into your wallet, and the number of units you have would increase.

Asides the satellite crashing, other ways of earning in this game abound; like through map-reading and locating where resources are embedded. But on the overall, it is majorly a battle game - and as such, your progression into the next stage is dependent on your units earned/purchased. And if you run out of units, you either purchase more, or it would be a "game over", and the other opponent would have leveraged on your tokens to become stronger. So to avoid this, you would need to equip your arsenals, and battle smartly.

Also, as you progress into the game, your star keeps increasing until it gets to the maximum of 4-stars, which is allocated to commanders (warlords), with an allocation of more arsenals. So by inference, the number of territories you are able to conquer impacts positively on your rating and units. And awesomely enough, these tokens can be trades on exchanges. I'm sure you want to view a trailer of this game - here; I've got a YouTube video for you.

To play this game, you need to head over to the Crypto Assault game portal, then you would see the "start your army" button, click on it.

After you have signed up, you would see the list of inventories (war arsenals) and their prices, which you would need to purchase to build your army. If you want to go for a Warlord package, then you would have more units and better chances , but the prices are a little higher than the rest.

When you have purchased your weapons, you would then be required to begin the combat process using an easy-to-understand on-screen instructions.
