People Rescued From Under Squaw Valley Avalanche

SQUAW VALLEY (CBS13) - Massive snowfall is taking a toll on the slope as a sudden hit in Friday's Squaw Valley.

This incident took place around 1:40 pm. Today near the Olympic Lady Chairlift. Five people were caught in a raid. One was transported to hospital with serious injuries, the other was treated and released. The other three were not injured.

Fucked into skiers to protect anyone caught in the snow.

Ski resorts across Sierra have seen several feet of snow fall from Wednesday, and are expected to predict more.

There were no reports of death on Friday afternoon.

It comes just a few hours after the missing snowboarder dies in a special incident.

A guest identified by the Pilzer County Sheriff's Office as 42-year-old Rocklin Resident Venue Jang did not appear during 9 hours. Squaw Valley officials Jang finally scanned the last season season pass in the squash Creek chair.

A Tahoe Nordic search and rescue crew came out immediately after Zhang was reported missing. The crew was searching for overnight, but the area would have to stop due to the high glacial risk.
