SPS DAO Project Manager Month 11 Invoicing and Recap

SPS DAO Project Manager Month 11 Invoicing and Recap

This month was an interesting change of pace. I'm going to touch on several of the things I've been working on, but there isn't really a good chronological order for most of them as they involved ongoing work throughout the month. Let's jump in:

One of the ongoing projects that I've been working on is trying to help us keep the Splinterlands DHF proposal funded and working with community members and treasurers to execute the DHF agreement proposal the DAO passed. We've now also gotten the DAO's votes following the Splinterlands curation trail as well us the DAO's HBD staked and generating passive income. The DAO has also started making posts and you can follow it and our staking and curation progress here.

I've been spending a lot of time working with a few key team members on trying to lock in a new payment processor for the community. We regularly see issues with transak and people not being able to KYC or buy tokens. Clearly being able to move funds in (and preferably also out) of the ecosystem are mission critical. I'll update you guys when there's more info that can be shared related to this.

This month, I also spent a good bit of time gathering feedback and reworking our tournament structures again. We're now burning over 2,000,000 DEC a month on tournament entry fees and in general people seem to be happier with the current setup. I'll continue to monitor this situation.

The DAO approved a legal fund and we're in the process of electing our foundation's chair and board members. I've been working behind the scenes to have us ready to move forward with the setup as soon as the voting period ends. Look forward to more information about this soon.

I've met with PJ and discussed the validator situation. The code has now been open sourced although it's still not quite production ready. This month I was also requested to reach out to Double Coconut to discuss concerns with Soul Keep. We had a DAOn Hall with them and they are in the process of making changes to address exploits and concerns from the community.

There's always more, but I think this covers the meat and potatoes of what I've been working on this month. It's also worth noting that I was out for 4 days at the beginning of the month for a surgery and I'll count that towards the approved vacation time. Thanks for reading!
