Manchester united suffered another defeat in a very crucial match at the FA cup against Wolves. It was United second defeat after that great Comeback against Paris Saint German in Paris during their second leg match of the UEFA Champions League. Manchester united qualified for the next round of the European tournament but have lost the top four and also the chances of winning the FA cup.
United 2-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium dropped the team to the 5th position on the English Premier League table, losing to Wolves on Saturday night has also deprived United the chances of winning the FA cup.
Manchester united started the night brightly but couldn't hold the Wolves attack till the end of the match. The first half of the match ended without a goal despite the opportunities both sides had.
On the other hand Wolves as a team has been fantastic against the English Premier League top sides this season.
Things turned around in the second half of the match, Wolves forward Jimenez opened the score line in the 70th minute. The goal was very important to the home team and it really boosted the team moral, the boost resulted into another goal just six minutes after the first goal.
Joya doubled the lead for Wolves in the 76th minutes with a perfect strike. Conceding twice in six minutes shows that something has gone wrong in the Manchester United squad.
In the 90th minute, Marcus Rashford pulled one back for United but it was too late to fight back. The match ended 2-1 with Wolves advancing to the next round of the competition.
