The coach of the Blagurana has been refused to support claims that the absence of the world best players for ten years would make the El Classico less interesting.

Ronaldo now plies his trade for Juventus in Italy and has been scoring goals as usual. On Saturday, he was on target again, scoring the brace that gave the side a comeback win against Empoli.

Lionel Messi is out injured with a broken arm and won't be available for the team. It's expected that Rafinha will take his place. The player was on target last term and helped his side secure a win in the absence of their captain.

Valverde reminded the media that the classico has been in existence before Messi and Ronaldo and will continue after their absence. It has never been short of drama and this could yet be another one. Suarez versus Bale perhaps?
