San Miguel Beermen is one of the best teams in PBA history. Last season, they were on the finals against the Barangay Ginebra Kings but they lost. They already won a lot of championships and most of the best players in PBA are in San Miguel just like June Mar Fajardo. As what people said, they have the best local line-ups.
But earlier they lost against Alaska Aces, one of their rivals in PBA in the last few years. San Miguel played well but they only have a small player rotation. Kevin Murphy, their import, made a total of 45 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. While their two local players, Christian Standhardinger and Arwind Santos, got 28 points and 20 points, respectively. Murphy was unstoppable in the first three quarters but he didnt maintain that shootout on the last quarter. He and Arwind Santos got six three-point shots.

San Miguel Beermen cant cope with Alaska Aces quickness and offensive rebounds. Alaska Aces were doing fastbreaks and there point guards scored a lot in three-point line. Obviously, Alaska Aces cant stop Murphy even though they did a double-team defense. But Murphy alone cant win the game.
San Miguel Beermen is on rank #8 in the PBA Governors Cup with a standing of 2 wins and 4 losses. They already had a three straight loss. We can see that they really struggle to play without June Mar Fajardo. As what Kevin Murphy said, San Miguel will recover when June Mar returns. June Mar Fajardos injury is almost healed and they said that he can play after two weeks.
They are still not sure if they can join the playoffs so they need to win on their next games. San Miguel will face Phoenix Fuel Masters on October 12 at Mall of Asia Arena. So lets see if they can win and reserve a spot on the playoffs.
