The Frenchman has to put aside his dismal first season for Barcelona.
Ousman Dembele, despite being one of the best players in Bundesliga before Barcelona took him, has not been at his very best.
His first season for Barcelona was plagued with injury woes that saw him play just about 27 games out of 53.
However, he can put behind the woes of last season and be that player that Barcelona went for.
The truth is that Barcelona is a team that demand much from their players. It also doesn't help much that Dembele is the club's record signing.
For Dembele to shine this season, he has to drop the burden of being the club's record signing and play his game.
Amazingly, he has the best assist record for the club in recent times. With Iniesta gone, he'll be the one everyone looks up to for being the playmaker and assist provider.
One thing we know of a certainty is that he has what it takes.
