Relegated Stoke City's Xherdan Shaqiri completed his Liverpool medical on Friday and is set to join the club for a reported £13 million.
In today's transfer market, £13 million is clearly a bargain for the 26 year old Swiss winger. Shaqiri was close to signing for Liverpool back in 2014 as well when Liverpool were managed by Brendan Rodgers. But the move couldn't quite get through. However, this time Liverpool look determined to get their man.
Shaqiri will become Liverpool's third signing of the summer following Naby Keita and Fabinho. Liverpool are also in the market for a new goalkeeper. And the first name on their list is Barcelona's Jasper Cillessen. The 29 year old Dutch goalkeeper will be leaving Barcelona this season and Klopp wants him at the club.
