Bold Off season Predictions for White Sox Star Yoan Moncada

Judging by the picture here, it is probably no surprise to anyone that I would love to see Yoan Moncada have a breakout year this upcoming baseball season. Baseball is easily my favorite sport, although I am a fan of them all, and I have been following the career of Yoan Moncada ever since he defected from Cuba to the United States and signed with the Boston Red Sox. Moncada has been a standout ever since he joined the minor leagues, and quickly rose to be the number one prospect in all of MLB. At the end of last season he finally started to show his true potential, raising his batting average, and hitting for some serious power. Here are a few bold predictions for 2018 and the Cuban star. It is highly doubtful that any will happen, but it is fun to make them anyway.

  1. Yoan Moncada will have a 20-20-20 season with over 20 home runs, stolen bases, and doubles. I also wouldn't be surprised if he hits 30 doubles and swipes 30 bags.

  2. Yoan Moncada will be an All-Star in his first full year in the big leagues.

  3. Moncada will lead his team in on base percentage. This will be the year his strikeout totals get under control and he winds up on base by taking walks, and getting hits.

  4. Moncada will go on the disabled list from wearing out his wrist signing autographs for Topps and Panini. Similar to how Judge and Bellinger's autographs were sprinkled liberally among every baseball card set produced this year, Moncada will lead the autograph charge of 2018. I joke about his going on the DL of course, but expect to see his autograph everywhere. Here is to another great baseball season!
