No Ostberg in Corsica

Hi, Steemers!

I am on the sixth day of the One Month Steemit Power Up Challenge!

I didn't speak much about Mads Ostberg. Maybe it's because he didn't have some special results last season with M-Sport team but he's points collector.

This season is difficoult for him because he's a privateer again and there's no enough new 2017 WRC cars to buy on the market. And the only car available to buy is M-Sport Ford Fiesta WRC. He had to miss Monte Carlo Rallye because of this.

He drove only in Sweden where he had to retire after first day taking Rally 2.

He also has his own team - Adapta Motorsport ran by his father Morten Ostberg who helped him a lot during his career. He occasionally drive their Ford Fiesta R5  car in Norwegian Rally Championship.

To remind you, he started with Subarus, then drove Fords and the only team where he got paid for drive was at Citroen World Rally Team.

He still has one single win - in Portugal 2012 with Ford Fiesta WRC (as privateer; when Hirvonen was excluded).

In 2017 he partnered with Martin Prokop. They will both drive Ford Fiesta WRC 2017 spec.

Why will he miss Corsica?

There's no enough available parts for a new cars and he can't have good enough test before event. Gossip says that tarmac suspension is the problem. They won't get it on time.

His next event will be Argentina.

The best thing that happend to him is his new born son and that's the reason he wasn't in Mexico.
