Son signs new deal with Tottenham till 2023

Heung-Min Son of Tottenham has signed a new contract with the cub that will see him stay on for the next five years.

Son, a South Korean international had joined the club in 2015 after a move from Bayer Leverkusen and has now pledged with his current club till the end of the 2022-23 season.

The last season in the Premier League had the 26 year old Son feature more prominently starting almost 27 times and featuring in 37 matches.

The past two seasons saw him with a total of 26 league goals thus easing the burden on the London club's star striker, Harry Kane.

This helped Spurs to finish the league at their consecutive top-three finish.

In the history of the Premier League, Son became the top Asian goalscorer after scoring the winner on November against Crystal Palace.
