Week 15 / Round 2
The second round of the Steem Fantasy League playoffs have come to an end. The week started with four teams and we are now down to two. It was a tough fought battle between the franchises, but only the best of the best came out on top. Did you favorite franchise make the cut? Let's find out.
After week 15, only two teams remain in the hunt for the Larimer Trophey.
Matchup # 1
Stinging Mosquito (6th Seed) vs The Bandits (1st Seed)
The first matchup in round 2 of the playoffs was a complete massacre. The Bandits nearly doubled the points of Stinging Mosquito. As the season played out, you could see that The Bandits were going to be there, and for some reason there was a feeling that the final matchup was supposed to be between The Bandits and The North. Stinging was up against destiny and he could not win. JAX RB Leonard Fournette putting up a goose egg on points did not do Stinging any favors in the score dept. And his counterpart on the flip side, RB Toddy Gurley put up a ridiculous 45 points which secured the easy win for The Bandits. Well played gentleman; and good luck to The Bandits as they play in the championship.
Matchup # 2
The North Remembers! (4th Seed) vs London Tigers (2nd Seed)
The North! does it again. The franchise that turned the corner in week 4 and has not looked back since. The North! secured their 2nd round win despite zero points from WR Marqise Lee. The four players totaling 100 points may have had something to do with The North! securing the victory. London Tigers brought a valiant effort to the matchup, but simply could not overcome an absolute abysmal showing from his WR core, and a negative points total from his starting defense. It has been a great season gentleman, thank you for playing. Good luck, North! The final matchup should be epic.
