Super Rugby - Round 8 - Review and Results - Tips 6 from 6

Well it took me 8 Rounds to do it but i finally tipped the perfect round of 6 from 6 games. It looked like it was all going to fall apart at the first hurdle with the Hurricanes in big trouble against the Sharks but they came through and other then one other close call all the games went to script.

HURRICANES v SHARKS in Napier, Friday 5.35pm AEDT

I had the Hurricanes 13+ in this game and was off in my assessment with the Sharks really sticking it to them throughout the game and playing some very attractive Rugby. It took a try in the 85th minute and conversion for the Hurricanes to sneak away with a very gritty win.

SUNWOLVES v WARATAHS in Tokyo, Saturday 3.15pm AEDT

The Tahs had too much fire power for the Sunwolves in what was an entertaining and free flowing game. The star of the game was NSW big powerhouse Fijian winger Taqele Naiyaravoro, the big fella left a path of destruction in his wake through out the game and looks to be a real weapon heading in to the second half of the season.

CHIEFS v BLUES in Hamilton, Saturday 5.35pm AEDT

This local derby was a cracker and was in the balance the whole game, the Chiefs scrum took the ascendancy late in the game and with the Blues receiving a yellow card they were able to grind out a tough win at home to keep themselves in playoff contention.

BRUMBIES v REDS in Canberra, Saturday 7.45pm AEDT

After a fast start the Reds were up 15 to nil and it looked like another big boil over was on the cards but the Brumbies then settled and were able to play there best attacking Rugby of the year putting on a stack of unanswered points to get back on track with a big victory. The Reds will be dissapointed with how badly there defense capitulated and will need to address those issues this week.

LIONS v STORMERS in Johannesburg, Sunday 1.15am AEDT

Well i tipped the Lions to win by 13+ and i was proven correct as they cantered to an easy victory in a high scoring local derby. They will be hoping the big win will get there season back on track and conversely the Stormers still have plenty of questions to answer in what has been a disappointing season thus far.

JAGUARES v CRUSADERS in Buenos Aires, Sunday 7.40am AEDT

The Crusaders once again proved why they are the ultimate road dogs of the Super Rugby with another win on the Road this time in hostile Argentina. The Jaguares put a valiant fight for the first half but were put away in the second half with the Saders running in some lovely tries.

So i go in to Round 9 on a roll having tipped the perfect round and will be hoping to pick some winners for you all later on in the week when i preview the Rounds games. Hope you all enjoyed my post and jumped on some of my winners, throw a comment and upvote my way if you did!
