Almost There: Dai's Super 6 predictions - December 26th - 27th 2017

The latest Dai’s Super 6 predictions produced 3/6 winners. A disappointing and frankly mind-boggling performance, missing out on the accumulative 7/1 return. As a quick reminder, here’s what I predicted:

Game Prediction Result Won/Lost
Liverpool v Swansea Home Win 5-0
Dundee v Celtic Away Win 0-2
Rangers v Motherwell Home Win 2-0
Manchester United v Burnley Home Win 2-2
Wigan v Shrewsbury BTTS 0-0
Newcastle v Manchester City Over 2.5 Goals 0-1

The first shock came when Manchester United went 2-0 down at home to Burnley. They managed to rescue the draw late on but have since come under huge criticism given the amount of money they've spent and the fact that they were unable to put a team like Burnley to bed at home. This really should have been a winner. What's commonly referred to in the gambling community as an 'accumulator destroyer'.

Wigan and Shrewsbury both scoring was always a bit of a gamble. One that didn't pay off unfortunately. With Wigan coming into the game off the back of a 7-0 away win at Oxford the prior weekend, I at least thought they would score. It turns out that the closeness in league table positions (1st v 2nd) replicated itself on the pitch, resulting in a goalless stalemate.

Manchester City and Newcastle ending in a 1-0 away win was the second shock prediction failure. This game produced a staggering 27 shots, yet only 1 goal. The over 2.5 goal prediction should have proved a winner, but it wasn't to be.

This weekends predictions will be made over the next 48 hours. Please feel free to follow me to receive my latest blogs and predictions.
