I don't think Hive account@splinterlands will make that switch. DEC is designed to be like a stablecoin with a soft peg of 1000 DEC = $1

The entire goals is to keep the prices predictable and stable in contrast to the extremely volatile cryptosphere. The developers could use a stablecoin instead, but that opens up third party dependence and a loss of control.
