The Hive blockchain is scheduled to implement a hard fork on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021 at 10:00 AM EDT / 14:00 UTC. While none of the changes included in this hard fork should affect the operation of the Splinterlands game, we will be putting the game into maintenance mode shortly before the scheduled hard fork time as a precaution and will open it back up once we have confirmed that everything is stable and running properly.

New Rental System Delay
The long-awaited new rental system has completed development and testing, but we have decided to delay the release until next week as a result of the upcoming Hive hard fork and the fact that this weekend is a holiday in the US. We know that many of you are excited for the new rental system (as are we!) and we apologize for the delay, but we did not feel it was the best decision to release a major new feature until we can be sure that things are stable and everyone is available.
