Hola folks, here we go again! I believe everyone loves EOS since it means that we got some extra chests for opening and try our luck on that. However, it is still 2 days to go and let's just wait for it. Today I want to share some fun on my guild brawl and share the moment of Gladius pack opening to enjoy the feeling of victory.
Our last brawl performance
Recently, we got two more new members Shade and Shawn, who just almost did a home run in the brawl and had a stunning record for us. It was such a surprise for me. Considering the general performance of our members, we just did a great job to finish the brawl. Hopefully we can ace our next brawl and get more rewards to have our Gladius opening, to boost our power rank and dominate the brawl.
A fun moment in Brawl
To my surprise, I just made my Grum a beast to smash the monsters on the other side. Trying to make your monster with BLOODLUST ability get into the snowball effect is a way to make yourself unbeatable in battles. More importantly, GRUM FLAMEBLADE is the only one with BLOODLUST ability outside the brawl.
About BLOODLUST
- Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats
- In the Reverse Speed ruleset, -1 to Speed

Unfortunately, it seemed not a lucky time for me as I only got 4 common and 1 rare for my pack which is the minimum drop and worse scenario. Despite the rarity of the card, the BLOODLUST ability also has surprising effect as long as you fit it into a right place under certain situations.
About the monsters
HELMET KHARAFAX
Humboldt Kharafax is the Poet Laureate of greater Khymeria. There are many whispers, especially in light of his most recent works, that he sympathizes with the forbidden rebellious sect known as Peacebringers. If the Order of the Silver Shield were ever able to prove this theory, the old man would vanish faster than the Peacebringers’ coded chalk messages during a strong rain. Kharafax’s wife died long ago, but not before their only Khymian son was delivered. His name is Helmet, and he is his father’s pride. The old poet has always encouraged his son to make his own decisions in all aspects of life, even so far as allowing him to shun the Order if he so chose. The young and handsome yellow-headed lad has not shown any inclination to turn his back on the Order, nor has he dedicated his life in service to them. Helmet adores the hunt, which has led him to travel to every different Splinter. He has hunted in the Southern Waste of Mortis where the dead walk, and he has hunted in the wild jungles of ΛZMΛRÉ, where every unknown thing can mean certain death. He has lopped arms from the dreaded Vigilator of Draykh-Nahka with Dragonsguard on his tail. He has even slayed a Rexxie in the Giant Grasslands of Primordia. Helmet’s next great challenge (entirely against the wishes of the Khymian Priests) is to become a victorious professional Gladiator in the Moxian arena.
Personally, I do not use this card quite often since I define it as a mini tank with lower cost. However, in most cases, life team has better tank for my line up such as SHIELDBEARER and CHAOS KNIGHT. However, if we get it to a higher level and then it could be another story since he got 5 abilities with only 2 mana cost.
ISGALD VORST
Some people of ΛZMΛRÉ have been battle-hardened by the most brutal land in the known world, the Frozen Hell ice shelf of the north. The clan Vorst is the largest ice clan that has inhabited this frozen world, and a young lady named Isgald is their champion. Through years of enduring bitter cold every day and night, her skin has taken on an eerily beautiful shade of blue. Several other members of the Vorst clan have similar complexions, but because Isgald is one of the only Vorst clanspeople who has traveled outside of ΛZMΛRÉ, she has become known as the blue princess. She is in fact not a princess at all; residents of ΛZMΛRÉ recognize the power of no government nor royalty.
The small statured blue princess is a fierce fighter who requires minimal armor and weaponry to go up against foes that are much larger than her. Some say that her skin, in addition to being blue from the cold, is also hard like ice and difficult to penetrate with any blade. Isgald carries a short sabre that has been handed down through a long line of women in the Vorst clan and a small but indestructible shield said to have been crafted by the hands of the Frost Giant himself.
Normally I would pick her in brawl since I love the opportunity ability which works well with the Bloodlust and target the monster with lowest health as I mention above. It helps her get into the snowball effect quickly.
LIZA FOX
Liza is no pushover. She learned to defend herself at a very young age, when she was constantly bullied by the other children in her clan for a severe speech impediment. When she could not take anymore, Liza lashed out at her bullies with all the fury of a grown warrior, even throwing one of the boys from the cliffs to the jagged rocks far below. They did not mock her anymore after that, and once she had gotten a taste for battle, she could not be without it. Liza has been a fighter ever since. She was never the most accurate or strong of the Highland archers, but she could draw a bowstring and loose arrows faster than anyone else in the land. Since moving to Beluroc, Liza Fox has learned many impressive skills of close-range combat, always fighting with a dagger in one hand and a long spear in the other, which she can throw with deadly accuracy.
Liza Fox is a short woman, but very muscular. Her hair is tied tightly into a single braid that falls to the middle of her back. Weapons that she carries include many blades, a hefty quiver of arrows, bow on her back and crossbow pistol on her hip. Her only companion is her horse, a beautiful black mare named Speah. At the Gladiator camp, she misses not the meadows of the Khymerian Highlands, but the open fields of the Beluroc Valley, where black jagged mountains loom overhead and dark spirits float on the breeze. It is there that Liza will one day return a champion after her time as a Gladiator is done.
Liz is a good ranger in death team and it is my first time to get her. So that I would try her in next brawl if I have the chance to have my death line up for the battle. The 4 range damage is definitely a bonus which combine with Bloodlust. The stun ability for level 4 is also an amazing one.
BERTROL GOBSON
Bertrol, the heir to the family Gobson’s fortune is often referred to as the hero of the deceivers. He is the eldest son of Rock and the deceased Korla, and while he has rarely followed in his parents’ footsteps, he is highly adored by goblins and humans alike. The people of Lyveria believe that he is destined to bring final and lasting peace to the delicate relationship between the two feuding races, and the goblins of Gobson feel that he will make better administrative decisions for their people than his parents ever could. The trouble is that he is often caught up in the shenanigans of his sister Katrelba, who was born just a few months later and has always been bitter that she will not inherit the city herself. He was not asked by his father to accompany Katrelba as a Gladiator to Mount Mox, but went instead of his own accord. He has always been nearly inseparable from his sister and defensive for her (often to a fault.) While she is doing battle among the Dragons and the wider world of Splinterlands monsters, Bertrol and his axe will be there to protect her.
The Bertrol is a good assistant in Earth team with the opportunity ability. The ISGALD VORST basically share the same concept with the combination of bloodlust and opportunity ability together in battle which helps run into the snowball effect.
HUGO STRONGSWORD
The tall tale of Hugo’s birth could in fact be true, for he is a human born of a woman in Lyveria of the Earth Splinter, even though he lives in Khymeria. He is one of the rare inhabitants of the Life Splinter who has migrated there and been accepted by both the locals and the Order of the Silver Shield. At first when he inquired about knighthood, Strongsword was laughed at by the entire Cloudgard training yard. Within a few short minutes, once he had bested two dozen Knights in casual pugilistic combat, they stopped laughing. The sergeant on duty petitioned the Defender of Truth to grant Hugo Strongsword a special dispensation from the Kymian birth prerequisite, and before the sun had set that very day, Hugo was knighted into the ranks of the Order. Ever since, he has held an impeccable battle record and after only three years as a Knight, he was chosen to represent the Life Splinter in Moxian Gladiator combat.
Lastly, Hugo is a decent tank in Life line up. He has the similar ability as Chaos knight at lower level. When we get him into level 5, the self heal ability could totally change his fate in battle as the increase of sustainability.
Guild Recruitment
Our guild is looking for 1 more member recently, and our expectation is Silver/Gold league or above. The only requirement of joining us is to have timely DEC contribution and be active in Brawls, so that we can build up our team together. Who doesn't want some guild packs and get those sweet free powers? Moreover, the implement of land is believe to function and link with guild so that I suggest anyone of you to grab a slot in guild as soon as possible (if you haven't got one).
