Share Your Battle, Weekly Challenge, Blowing up to get at that PIZZA!

This card is actually one of my favorite cards for the Light splinter, it just pairs so well! Blast the enemy away so that you can enjoy that victory Pizza!

Starting off, my Light Splinter goes heavy with ranged attacks, which plays perfectly with the Prismologist!

8 mana can take a little bit of toll on the pool, but for mid to high mana fights, perfect! Then the 3 ranged, 2 shields and 4 damage, not only will she stay in the fight but some good damage, the best part is that blast ability! Hitting the people in the backline, awesome!

Before we get to the battle, let’s look at the history and the lore that has been written about the Prismologist by Splinterlands.com lore team:
Prismologists are experts at illusory and light-based magic using prisms. Armed with their custom built prism, they bring them to the battlefield to manipulate magic around themselves. Light dances around them in a rainbow of colors as they lay waste to a bloody battlefield.

Those who wish to become Prismologists train at the Peace of Light Monastery from dawn until dusk with the goal of joining the order of the Spectrum Prism. Their mastery of light and glass allows them to perform spectacularly stunning and powerful magic.

In order to become a full-fledged Spectrum member and Prismologist, a spellcaster must craft their own Prism to use as a focus for their spells. Each summer solstice, future Prismologists journey from the Shimmer City to the deserts of Draykh Nahka to collect sand and create their own prism.

It is a challenging process involving facing multiple dragons in battle, heating the sand enough to become glass, and making it through the desert alive. Not many manage to complete the task, but those that do are a sight to behold.

As the sun sank beneath the horizon on the third day of battle at New Everitt, the sky shifted from a blood red to pitch black. The fighting continued into the night, and occasionally torches and spells would flash across the battlefield. This was war and had been for some time since the Chaos Legion arrived.

The enemy army had minions that could see in the dark, but most Praetorians weren't that lucky. Many relied on torch light at night or were able to land a hit with the light of a spell. Fighting in the dark was madness, and soon the enemy would wash over the city. The retreat horn sounded in the deep, and allies fled behind the barricaded walls. The enemy advanced on the heavy gates, smashing and slamming into it with attacks and spells.

A light appeared in the distance, brighter than any spell or star. Pearlescent rays shot over the battlefield, revealing it as if the sun itself had risen. A single ray erupted in flames within the center of foes advancing on the gates. Enemies were flung into the air as the fireball exploded. Cheers erupted from the city. A Prismologist had arrived. Light had come.

The battle that we are examining for this is a high mana fight at 60 mana in the Gold Modern category:
Weak Magic: Magic Attacks hit Armor before reducing Health
Holy Protection: All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability
These rules actually play quite well with the Prismologist as I will explain.
Here is the quick link to the battle: (Link) however, I will break it down, then you might want to watch again.

First up, the Summoner:

Light challenge, you need a light summoner to step up, but Sloan, brings this one to a new level, adding that ranged damage, helps to knock out the enemy quickly, a good amount of high damage attacks are always a great thing!

First up we have a nice reward card in Jared Scar

I like this card, high damage but low health, however, the true strike means she will hit, then the other ability bloodlust, will increase all the stats that makes her awesome!

Next is a nice card as well

I have this card here for a couple of reasons, an off tank if Jared falls, but with the magic damage, it means that she will do damage from this second position, the ability though, Strengthen, gives extra hit points to everyone on the team, allows people to stay in the fight longer!

Next up comes an awesome card from the Chaos Legion set with the Light Splinter, well technically the reward set, the third in a row, and attached to the Chaos Legion set:

The crystal smith is amazing, the three speed is helpful, but then the 2 ranged damage due to Sloan, followed by 4 health, it will stick around, the big part though, the tank heal ability, to keep the Jared in the game longer, blended with bloodlust, it can get nasty for the other team!

Next, the Pelacor Arbalest

Paired with Sloan the 3 damage, attacking twice, so a potential of 6 damage is a great thing, I placed him farther to the back to maximize the damage output and protect it from the snipers that may come.

Second to the last is the card of the hour:

The placement here is twofold, the first one, ranged attack, cannot attack in the front row, 4 damage is a lot of it. The second part is having her in the back will help against those sneak attackers, after the Shieldbearer goes down, the shield gives an extra round of attacks.

Last in the pack is the Shieldbearer:

This is a good card, I put him in the back so that he can pull those attacks from Jared upfront to start getting that bloodlust moving forward!

Did my strategy work, very much so! The shieldbearer lasted to round 2, which is good. Even though the opponent went death, decreasing health, Renova countered that one. Due to how long the shieldbearer lasted, it allowed me to take out their tank and then the amount of damage I was doing just chewed through the rest of the people, even though I lost Jared in the fight, that was okay. The Prismologist did great by hitting the first person, then using the blast damage to take away the divine shield for the next in line. In all honesty, I use this setup quite a bit, lots of damage output, some mitigation, but hard to overcome at times for the opponent, this would not be possible without the Prismologist as well.

The Prismologist is a must have card in my opinion, pick one up now! It doesn’t have super high mana cost, but standard doing 3 damage to one and then 2 to the next in line, just high output. I look forward to my next level with her, where she will be doing 5 damage and 3 to the next in line, granted that is with Sloan’s help, I just think it is well worth the investment!
