Welcome to my 1st blog on PeakD. This is the beginning of my journey to share my ideas and experience related to all of the passive income we can get daily from our beloved gaming and collectible card platform, SPLINTERLANDS!
About Me, As an Engineer
Hi everyone, my name is Akbar. Everyone calls me Akbar. My active job is the Application Engineer in the Automation Company which deals with the control system of Power Plant and Oil industry. A bit complicated to be described, but just consider that I am a Power plant Engineer, Here I am. đ
I worked on the power plant site for the installation, engineering and commissioning of the Power Plant DCS (Distributed Control System). If you have graduated from the electrical or instrumentation major in university, you will definitely know what I meant. But if you are not, let me give you a simple explanation.
Power plant is a huge and complex system, so in order to get the desired output (energy in terms of power), we need distributed control system to manage when the boiler should start working to create steam, when the generator should produce electricity, etc.
I used to worked in my Jakarta (Indonesia) Office but sometime I need to work on the Power Plant at customer site.
My Journey in Splinterlands
Well, I started playing splinterlands from September 2021. In the beginning, I thought that we need to invest a lot of money to earn reward from the game but I was totally wrong. The capital investment is just $10 for summoner spellbook and we can start earning in bronze II. If you want to get more, you can use dec from battle reward to rent strong cards so that u can play at higher league and earn more rewards. Another unforgettable memory when I was start playing is players can get legendary card and lots of dec reward in bronze league, even with single chest, like what I got in below picture.
Why Splinterlands?
In my humble opinion, Splinterlands is special. These are the reasons :
1. The Initial Cost
Itâs only $10 which allows everyone whether âwhalesâ or âplanktonâ (like me đ
) to start having fun playing this addicting game and earning (as we know there are lots of way to earn in this game, like rank battle, card trading, sps staking, asset holding, etc). Unlike some other NFT gaming which their initial cost is very high, only whales can enjoy the game. So, Splinterlands is for everyone, it doesnât matter whether you are whales or not.
2. Multiple Rewards
There are several rewards that the player can grab, such as DEC in ranked battle, Daily loot chest every single day and End of Season Rewards. Speaking of chest, which are unpredictable, itâs always exciting to open them because there is a chance to get super reward like gold foil and high DEC reward. It doesnât matter if you get potion only, or very small dec reward because there will always another day to open chest to get amazing reward one of the great reward that everybody look for is the Golf Foil Legendary which worth hundreds of dollar like the picture below
3. Passive Income
Not only providing earning system through dec grinding, all players can also get passive income just by holding asset (DEC, cards, land, etc) and staking SPS. So, even by doing nothing, players are able to get the rewards (in the form of sps) every single day for 365 days. The below picture is showing the airdrop point of one between my 6 accounts. Still trying to keep grinding to achieve my target (75k dec) this month
4. High reward in Leaderboard
Beside of DEC grinding, all players are competing each other and climb to the top of the leaderboard to get very high DEC reward at the end of the season. where in silver league, the top 1 will get 40,000 DEC, Top 2 will get 30,000 DEC and all the way down until top 11 - 25 will get 4,000 DEC. This season is my first season to climb in the leaderboard and i stayed at rank 25, 3 days before the end of the season. Keep in mind that 1 season consists of 15 days. I am planning to play again 1 day before EoS (End Of Season) to make sure that i could get 4,000 DEC or even more, hopefully. As a note, fighter5 is one of my account đ
5. Exploring peakD to read many strategies and giveaways
PeakD is the web where splinterlands player can share their ideas, tips and giveaway to other players. The main goal is to strengthen the relationship between members in community and inviting new player to join and feel how exciting the splinterland game is. By reading other player idea, we can get new insight and making better strategy for ranked battle. By joining giveaway, there is a chance to get good cards like below picture
Well, i think that is all about my introduction post and the reason why i really like splinterlands as the best nft game for me so far. In the next post I will share about how to easily encounter and beat strong monster (along with the battle preview) for :
