Introduction
Hello Everybody,
Welcome back to my blog. In this week, the battle Challenge theme is Deeplurker, but I want to share something difference from other. The monster I would like to write on this post is Gladius monster who has the Opportunity and Bloodlust ability. As you might see in the cover picture, she is Isgald Vorst. The table below explains her ability.

Monster Stats
Isgald Vorst has mostly been placed in the backline position. I think the best position for her is in the middle to protect herself from opponent attack on the 1st position or the last position.

| Furious Chicken | In small mana, I always use this mana since this monster's mana cost is 0 which is free. So this monster can tank the opponent attack while gives additional damage by Thorn ability. |
| Fungus Fiend | This monster has 0 mana, so it's worth to use as attack absorber for 1 turn and give damage to opponent by Thorn ability. |
| Flesh Golem | This is my real tank as he has Heal ability, high health (10), fair speed (3) and moderate attack (2). This monster is enough to deal with melee monster if the opponent monsters don't have Heal ability. |
| Creeping Ooze | This monster will reduce the enemies speed by 1. this is very important to increase the chance of successfully hit the enemies (avoid miss). |
| Halfling Alchemist | This monster is my ace against strong monster especially the one who has Bloodlust ability. Once he got hit by Halfling Alchemist, it's over (unless the monster got cleanse). |
Match Preview
Round 1
Well, My opponent is genius. He knows how to act properly towards the rule set Fog of War. In this rule set, most of battle happens in the 1st position (since no snipe and sneak ability) so he put Isgald Vorst in the last position. This will make Isgald survive for a long time and build her stats to be a very strong card.
Round 2
Isgald Vorst has killed my Furious Chicken and it makes all of her stats increased by one. On the other side, Hardy Stonefish died because of Halfling attack and Thorn effect.
Round 3
Isgald Vorst become stronger after killing my Fungus Fiend. Although my Flesh Golem attack destroys the Albatross armor, my Halfling attack on Albatross missed so the bird still stands in round #3.
Round 4
I think Isgald Vorst has reached her maximum stats after killing my Creeping Ooze. In round 4, she will deal with Flesh Golem who has healing ability as well as Thorn. Along with Halfling Alchemist, it can be a turning point for Earth Splinter to take Isgald Vorst down. Let's see.
Round 5
Flesh Golem has successfully killed Chaos Agent. and my Halfling alchemist attack on Isgald, makes her lose half of her melee attack (rounded down). With her 2 attack, it's impossible to win against Flesh Golem who can heal 3 health point in each round. The match is over. Mylor wins.
Opinion about Isgald Vorst
Every Gladius card is very strong since they have Bloodlust ability. However, we can counter them using Halfling Alchemist who can cut attack monster into half (rounded down). Unless they got cleansed, it's over. Another point is you can counter every kind of attack and strategy in Splinterlands, like what we have seen in the match, where we can counter Isgald Vorst as the melee monster using Thorn ability.
