From all the abilities that are in the game, the recharge is one of the least useful around as it can only attack every other round at the benefit of doing 3x the damage not being able to attack in the first round. Unless a card has extremely survivable stats like the Uriel The Purifier or when the stats are better than average making it a solid card for game rules where cards have no ability they are worth it. This is not the case for the Temporal Master. The Specific rules where I can see it as useful is when there is a low-mana fight where only up to 4-mana cards can be used that get no abilities. That when some of the other summoners (Water / Earth) are not allowed. In that spot combining the +1 magic damage Dragon Summoner combined with the 4 or 5 life monsters that have by default 2 magic damage might be good.
While I own this card on my main account at level 4 as it is the cheapest Epic card from the set and not so expensive, I honestly never used it and also never seen it used. So for the battle this week I'm taking a battle with a useful combo that now became a bit more common with the new game rules as it can also be used when all monsters get the reflect ability.
Whenever no Magic is allowed, I tend to go for the combination of the Shieldbearerand the Warrior of Piece as all the damage from the opponent is reduced double both by the Shield and the Demoralize+Headwinds abilities. Add some heal to that and it's almost impossible for the opponent to kill the tank monster as the damage gets prioritized to it nearly always. I did play the Furious Chicken in 2nd place to possibly take some blast damage, and the Thunderbird + Venari Crystalsmith in 4th and 5th place followed by the Soul Fiend
It took a while to destroy the tank of my opponent, but once that was done it was no issue to destroy my opponent keeping all my monsters alive all while having a lower-level monster and summoner.
