Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! Interesting Battle!

General Sloan Beat Conqueror Jacek

This is a battle between this 2 maxed out summoners, where I manage to beat the 6 mana cost Legendary Summoner Conqueror Jacek that give 2 abilities and +2 Speed to all his units, with General Sloan that only give +1 Range attack , most players think that Sloan is the weaker of the Chaos Legion summoners and yes he is quite weak compared to others summoners but on life there are very strong units that have synergy with it like Pelacor Arbalest or Prismologist, with a good line up it can compete with others and even beat legendary summoners as I have done several times.

Round 4 and Final

Rulesets and battle Conditions:

Maneuvers: All units gains Reach.

Weak Magic: Magic attacks hit armor before health.

Even Stevens: Only monsters with even mana cost may be used in battle.

Mana cap: 37

Splinters allowed: Life, Fire, Earth.

General Strategy for Maneuvers ruleset:

Here we can use a very powerful melee unit that may not be the best tank but have very high damage or with an interesting ability like Repair, on this ruleset you will normally not pick a unit that have already the Reach ability is mostly about of putting the best melee glass cannon you have and there is a big chance that the opponent will have at least 2 melee units so an anti-melee tank may be the best idea for this ruleset with abilities like Shield, Thorns, Retaliation. As always you can ignore the ruleset and surprise your opponent like going full magic damage you may take your opponent with no defense against magic as he was worried about melee. Another possibility instead of using a glass cannon in second place you could use a mini-tank to give you some good extra defense, like a 3 or 2 mana cost tank.

General Strategy for Even Stevens Ruleset:

On this ruleset the strategy is one: have the cards, have a decent cards with even mana cost to cover any position for example have a proper tank with even mana cost according to the mana cap of the battle, if you don´t have one you more likely has lost already, having only one will only work for certain mana cap battles, having 2 can cover lots of battles like one of 8 mana cost and one of 4 mana cost, as much cards you have(not only tanks) better and higher chances of winning since the other rulesets will limit your options even more, the tank is just an example the same goes for others cards to cover the others spots on your team, mostly Even Stevens ruleset is dominate for the ones with more cards.

General Strategy for Weak Magic Ruleset:

Here armor can blocks any type of attack and because of that Repair ability become extremely powerful, putting multiple repairs on your line up could make your units with armor unable to take damage on their health, Protect ability will be very strong as well, Resurrection is another ability that have a big buff on this ruleset, any unit with a lot of armor will be resurrected with his full armor and magic units will not be able to one shot them.
The opponent is more likely to use this armor abilities so counter him with anti-armor abilities Like: Rust, Pierce, Shatter.
Magic units may not be the best choice here as part of their advantage is removed with this ruleset.
