Baby Steps

Stepping forward in very small steps will eventually get you there. This is the lesson of the Tortoise and the Hare. But there are also lesson to learn about running very fast.drjohnthumb.JPG

Yesterday, while writing comments I quickly posted a remark without pausing to review the wording. In this attempt to be supportive, I was unaware of my offensive comment. The situation was resolved, but taking just a bit of time to review would have helped.

Take time to be more responsive than "Nice Post" or "Great Job" often followed by "Follow Me". But slow down to consider the impact of a contrarian statement! Some people become very passionate about their work. Just a little prick (consider the various meanings) can burst their bubble and destroy momentum. It is often better not to comment than to be contrary!

This is the lesson I learned recently. I was a little prick.

Going slow and taking baby steps can win your race and also keep others running.

Here is today's beauty.
