Piazza Bocca della Verità

En Italia y, más concretamente en Roma, podemos visitar esta plaza. Se encuentra en el Foro Boario, que era una zona de la antigua Roma situada en la ribera izquierda del río Tíber, entre el Campidoglio y el Aventino. Toma su nombre de la Boca de la verdad, situada debajo del pórtico de la iglesia de Santa María en Cosmedin.

En esta foto, tenemos la Fuente de los Tritones y el Templo de Hércules Victor al fondo.

La fuente, que fue terminada en 1715, tiene una base octogonal y retrata dos tritones que sostienen una concha de donde brota el agua.

El templo, fechado sobre el año 120 a.C., es el edificio de mármol más antiguo conservado en Roma. Consiste de una cámara circular dentro de un anillo concéntrico de 20 columnas.

In Italy and, more specifically in Rome, we can visit this square. It is located in the Boario Forum, which was an area of ancient Rome located on the left bank of the Tiber River, between the Campidoglio and the Aventino. It takes its name from the Mouth of truth, located under the portico of the church of Santa María in Cosmedin.

In this photo, we have the Fountain of the Tritons and the Temple of Hercules Victor in the background.

The fountain, which was completed in 1715, has an octagonal base and portrays two newts that hold a shell from which water gushes.

The temple, dated around 120 BC, is the oldest marble building preserved in Rome. It consists of a circular chamber inside a concentric ring of 20 columns.
