Tulips are the most common and most important ornaments in Hungarian folkart. They are originally functioning as pictography, not simple ornaments. So far hundreds of tulip forms have been found in Hungarian folk art, and they all have a special meaning. I hope i can find my notes of them, then create a new post where I'll explain what that means.
This souldoodle tulip connects the sky with the earth, like we, human beings. It has an inner core with beads (DNA) where the life comes from. The core has two red wings, as witality. Small tulip inside, with green leaves, symbolizes new life.
Drawn with Brevillier's Cretacolor, on A/5 paper.
