A student from Somalia laughs in embarrassment after she mixed up some lines in her speech during the graduation ceremony of the Sir Nelson School of Languages held near Bwaise, Kampala, Uganda, Saturday Nov. 18, 2017.

Behind her in a blue scarf is another Somali student who gave a charming speech.

The school -- with branches in Wandegeya and Kabalagala in Kampala -- has a large and vocal Somali student group that usually dominates its graduation events with traditional dances and chest-thumping nationalism.
