Coal site turned largest provider of floating green energy

China making sure it compensates for being a major contributor of emitted carbon to the atmosphere has turned to be perhaps a leader in the adoption of renewable energy technologies. In my opinion, China in trying to out-do its pollution would eventually create enough renewable energy enough to power their energy needs and this if eventually achieved would be a great feat.

One of the many ways China had worked in making the world greener was by creating the largest floating array in the world on a man-made lake. In 2017 around July, the completed project was switched in Anhui province and was reported to produce 40 megawatts of electricity which is transmitted straight to the Huainan, China's grid and is reported to power about 150,000 homes. Ironically, the lake on which the array floats was which is 12 to 14 feet deep was formed from water filling the cavity produced by the mining operation of coal which is one of the dirtiest fuels in the world.

Undoubtedly, if China continues at the rate at which it invests in renewable projects, it would be able to produce enough energy for it to stop burning coal as much as they do now.
