The popular system with the Linux kernel can be downloaded and executed as an application.

Ubuntu came to the Microsoft Store last year and since then they have been hanging the launches to be executed in the operating system. Now, the latest version of Ubuntu, 18.04 LTS, can be run on Windows 10.

The penguin's operating system released its latest version with long-term support in April of this year. With this new inclusion in the Microsoft Store you can run a full terminal in Windows, running tools such as ssh, apt, git or bash.

In statements collected by Techradar, Microsoft's Program Manager, he mentioned that the partnership with Ubuntu continues to give good results:

"We are happy to announce that Ubuntu 18.04 is now available in the Microsoft store, the Ubuntu applications that you see in the store are published by Canonical, and we partner with them for the launches of applications and tests in WSL."

Ubuntu is available as an application on the Universal Windows Platform (UWP). To install it, you have to go to Microsoft Store, type Ubuntu 18.04 and press "get"
You should also go to "Activate or deactivate Windows features" at the start of the operating system and activate the "Windows Subsystem for Linux" function.

I will also tell you that just yesterday it was learned that Microsoft sued the Municipality of Copiapó, in Chile, for 1700 million pesos for using software without a license. The demand is added to other registries, for example, in the City Hall of Ensenada in Mexico.
