It is called Night Ronda because the activities of maintaining and fostering environmental security and order are carried out at night. All villagers voluntarily on the basis of the same responsibility take turns carrying out these activities whose arrangements are carried out by the head of the neighborhood.

Every resident who has a turn to protect the environment gathers in a place called Pos Ronda. After all the members gathered, they then went around the village environment to protect the environment from the actions of people who like to steal or disturb the residents. Usually when they go around they carry sticks or tongs. Tongtong in the past was a means of communication between guards on duty. However, along with current technological developments, batons or tongtongs are rarely used as a means of communication. Tongtong has been replaced with a mobile phone as a means of communication.

Activities to maintain environmental security and order in the month of Ramadan are increasing. The duty officer is not only tasked with maintaining environmental security and order, but during the month of Ramadan has an additional task, namely waking the community to prepare for sahur.
