Tobacco firm will STOP selling Marlboro and B&H cigarettes in the UK

The US-based tobacco giant has pledged to stop selling cigarettes in the UK within the next decade to make the UK smoke-free. Philip Morris International (PMI), a multi-national tobacco firm has announced that it will stop selling all brands including Marlboro, Benson & Hedges and Chesterfield in the UK by 2030.

It is our commitment to move towards selling smoke-free products and away from cigarettes that kill millions every year, says PMI. The company has its business in more than 180 countries, is now switching from cigarettes to safer alternatives, such as e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products.

In an advertisement company states, "Every year many smokers give up. Now it’s our turn". Recently, some surveys have been done by companies and results revealed that millions of people smoke not because they're addicted but because they enjoy it. That fundamental fact isn't going to change over the next twelve years. This is where technology should prevail to give customers the choice of combustible and non-combustible products so they can choose less harmful option.
