SketchCrazed is an opportunity for me to share the very strange drawings I do. The common thread is in the attempt to explore new relationships of form, contrast, and pattern, and to see where they take me.
The Process of Observing
How many times have you held an attitude toward something which, in the end, turns out to be your own projection and not the reality of the situation at all? – David La Chapelle Navigating the Tides of Change

This first drawing is of a person (an authority) observing a crop circle. He is equipped with all kinds of apparatus, but does not appear to be taking an objective look at it. His opinion is influencing the approach to his inquiry.

I wouldn't believe it, even if it was true.
This second sketch is related in that it again suggests how opinion can be relied on more than objectivity. This was influenced by a quote I read from a NASA scientist. When asked if NASA was benefitting from re-engineered technology from crashed ufo crafts, he said that he wouldn’t believe it, even if it was true. What the? It’s one thing to be skeptical, but another thing entirely when you will deny something that you know is true.
