Espero que todos hayan tenido una excelente semana llena de entrenamientos y kilómetros sumados. Estuve un poco perdido ya que tenia las piernas cansadas y tenia una pequeña molestia que empezaba en el pie y subía hasta la pantorrilla, así que decidí descansar. Hoy volví a correr y me senti super bien, tanto así que corrí con mi mamá @erilej los 8 kilómetros, esto para mi es un logro ya que desde que inicié no habia hecho una distancia tan larga. ![20240519_075821.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nelson18/EoH1Pj1FLzkNdG9LzTdcNUfdrLDpPwxmPujSbemzduEox6v5rsZj516Yi79GwCrFaor.jpg) Iniciamos muy cerca de mi casa y llegamos hasta la Rio de Janeiro, donde nos encontramos con la carrera de Ellas que era una carrera para solo chicas de 12 km y tenia caminata de 5km. Mientras corríamos pudimos ver mucha gente conocida a la cual le gritamos alentandolos a que siguieran corriendo y sacaran lo mejor de sí mismos. El clima nos favoreció un poco ya que la mañana estuvo fresca y sin tanta humedad. ![20240519_075203.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nelson18/EpVB5JFEKvZ3CfHn2cZfEAtjpvg2z5xVKTUHkabtXQGsuwQ2seWANNvZ7mmzFe9ShPJ.jpg) Apesar de que ibamos por la via de la carrera no llegamos a la meta ya que al llegar a la altura de La California Sur, llevabamos 6km así que decidimos dar vuelta y así terminar los 8km en El Llanito. Yo no habia corrido a esa altura de la Rio de Janeiro y me parecio super bien esa ruta, ya que no es plano totalmente. I hope you all had a great week full of workouts and miles added up. I was a little lost as my legs were tired and I had a little discomfort that started in my foot and went up to my calf, so I decided to rest. Today I went back to running and I felt great, so much so that I ran with my mom @erilej the 8 kilometers, this for me is an achievement because since I started I had not done such a long distance. We started very close to my house and got to Rio de Janeiro, where we met up with the Ellas race which was a race for girls only of 12 km and had a 5km walk. As we ran we could see many people we knew and we shouted to them encouraging them to keep running and do their best. The weather favored us a bit as the morning was cool and not so humid. Even though we were on the race route we didn't make it to the finish line because when we got to La California Sur, we had 6km to go, so we decided to turn around and finish the 8km in El Llanito. I had not run at that point of the Rio de Janeiro and I thought it was a great route, as it is not totally flat. At the end of the 8km I did some stretching to prevent any kind of injury and that's how I finished my training today. Running with my mom always motivates me to do my best since she is a runner with a lot of endurance and keeping up with her pace is difficult for me, but that's the goal every day to go longer distance and improve the pace. 💪
