Rafida Ahmed flood statement:

My husband, Abhijit Roy, used to write about science and rationalism, he was very critical of religious superstition. He was killed for this reason only. We were attacked by two people on the crowded campus of Dhaka University in February last year. Abhijit was hacked to death with machete. I live somewhere.

As his wife, writer of the same type and as a freelance writer, I strongly condemn this demonic terror. Historically, Dhaka University campus is the center of all progressive movements. Abhijit himself grew up on this campus. Despite the threat of death, we could not believe in any way that such an abusive crime could have taken place here. This crime was not only against one person, it was also against freedom of speech and humanity.

When I was upset and brutally attacked, the local police were very inactive. Now our demand is that whatever the government of Bangladesh should use its maximum power to bring the killers under trial. I do not think that only the killers are enough. I appeal to the government for the removal of terrorism, as well as to demand that the writers and murderers not be brought to justice, the legal culture has been established.

Attracting the world around the brutal event that happened to me, and calling on us to demand justice together.
