Most blockchain projects does not last more than two years

Starting in 2013, dozens of crypto-currencies with national branding, including Sibcoin, appeared on the alt coins. Only the most persistent and serious projects remained and were able to gather around themselves a serious community and a team of developers in 2016-2017 years.

Sibcoin is one of these projects. From the day 1 till now, Sibсoin remains afloat, developing and growing, supported by enthusiasts.

However, Sibсoin is most likely an exception: as the study showed, only 8% of the more than 80,000 blockbuster projects still exist, are developing and are actively working. On average, the life expectancy of 92% of blockchain projects is 1.22 years.

These unfavorable statistics are reported by the Chinese Academy of Information Technology. As Baohun (director of the scientific institute of cloud computing) noted:
"Projects appear as quickly as they disappear. Governments of all countries are trying to create common standards and help the blockchain-start-ups to develop and achieve meaningful results. "

This is not the first publication from Chinese scientists: a slightly earlier there were published list of 28 crypto-currencies, which were evaluated according to the following criteria: technology, application, innovation. The first place was taken by Ethereum.

Is 8% too low or completely sane? How sad is it compared to the sphere of start-ups? Share your opinion, join the Sibcoin community at Telegram (https://t.me/sibcoin)
