cultivation of vaname in tarpaulin pond

Shrimp farming is not a new thing actually in North Sumatra (North Sumatra). If referring back, shrimp farming tiger or windu has "eaten" a long time and make it as a prima donna among shrimp farmers in the country. But by the time also, tiger shrimps start less greget because cultivation is considered more difficult than other types of shrimp.

Indeed cultivation of tiger prawns still exist, but with the amount that continues to shrink. Because most farmers who cultivate shrimp ponds, are now turning to the cultivation of vaname shrimp. Even the cultivation is done in a tarpaulin pond (not a ground pool).

This cultivation is actually not new in Indonesia. Because in Java has been done since 2000 ago.

The use of tarpaulins in pond ponds is strongly influenced by water conditions that no longer support shrimp development due to degradation (decrease) of water quality. That is why water should be manipulated by making a tarp bed.

Apparently, the results are better and the shrimp grow perfectly. Because by using tarpaulins, heavy metals and bacteria will not breed.

This cultivation pattern was then practiced by the owner of shrimp ponds in North Sumatra in 2010. At that time, it was just a little alias try and of course with a small amount.

In the medio, most shrimp farms are still in the ponds. And if the investment value, is much more expensive than the tarpaulin pond. Maybe this is what makes many pond farmers who then switched to tarpaulin ponds.
