Short Story : "Keep Your Smile"

A blind boy sat cross-legged at the entrance staircase at a supermarket. He is a beggar who expects the mercy of the visitors passing in front of him. A used tin stands upright in front of the blind boy with just a few coins in it, while both hands hold a board that says "I am blind, have mercy on me."

There was a grown man who happened to pass in front of the blind boy. He reached into his pocket, took out a few coins, then put it in the boy's tin. For a moment, the man looked at the writing on the board. As if thinking of something, his forehead began to move.

Then the man asked for the board the blind boy brought, turned it over, and wrote a few words on it. Smiling, the grown man then returns the board, then leaves it. After the man died, the coins of supermarket visitors began to flow more into the boy's can. Less than an hour, the boy's can is almost full. A great fortune for the blind boy.

Some time later the adult man returns to the boy and greets him. The Blind boy thanked the man, then asked what the man wrote on his board. The man replied, "I wrote, 'It was a beautiful day, but I can not see it.' The text just wanted to say how lucky the people can still see. I do not want visitors to give you money just pity you. I want them to give on the basis of gratitude for being reminded to always be grateful."

if you give in pity, you become human, this is good. but if you give because of wisdom, you will become light."
