The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) chairman Gary Gensler tweeted a Twitter spaces session where he discussed the risks of crypto investments with SEC Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw on Jan. 27.

Speaking to the U.S. army, Gensler said crypto is a highly speculative and volatile investment instrument. He continued that several crypto projects are unregistered securities as they fail to comply with securities law.

The SEC chairman has repeatedly stated that the commission should register many crypto projects because they qualify as securities. However, the crypto community has accused the regulator of employing a “regulation by enforcement’ tactics.

Solana:

Solana [SOL] developers have been stepping up their game for a while now with several new updates and integrations that help increase the capabilities and offerings of the network.

One of the latest was Solana Mobile announcing that the Solana dApp Store was open for app submissions. The Solana dApp Store itself is a curated catalog, managed by Solana Mobile, with apps that conform to a set of policies that it has made available.

The official announcement mentioned that these policies were in place to shield users from harmful and unlawful content without limiting an app’s ability to use crypto features such as exchanging NFTs or other digital goods.

Litecoin:

The blockchain network Litecoin’s computational power reached an all-time high (ATH) on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at block height 2,411,048, reaching 798.43 terahash per second (TH/s). In addition, Litecoin’s difficulty also reached an all-time high this week, hitting 23,505,031 the following day.

Ethereum:
