Making parts. Nothing beats manual machining equipment for making one offs and short runs. Like I am going to sit at a computer and CAD/CAM for a CNC to make one finial adapter for a lamp. This is a piece of ~2"D scrap aluminum bar I found laying around. it was painted red, so turned about 0.05" off of it at high speed to give the stock a nice finish.
