Infamously known as the 'Night Stalker,' Richard Ramirez was an American serial killer who was responsible for killing at least 14 people and tortured many more before his capture.

Ramirez was born in Texas in 1960. He committed his crimes mostly during the spring and summer of 1985. He was a heavy drug user and had an interest in Satanism. Maybe it had something to do with him being epileptic during his childhood. Apprehended in August 1985, Ramirez was sentenced to death in 1989. After his conviction he got cancer and later on died in prison because of it.

Ramirez's was captured on August 24, 1985. He raped a woman that night and shot her fiancé. The victim was able to provide a detailed description of Ramirez. She stated he forced her to bow down in front of Satan.

Ramirez was sentenced to death in the gas chamber in November 1989. To the death sentence Ramirez responded, "Big deal, death always comes with the territory. I'll see you in Disneyland". He was sent to San Quentin Prison, California for the remainder of his years. In prison, he married a woman named Doreen Lioy in 1996.

Richard Ramirez died on June 7, 2013, at the age of 53 after being on Death row for 24 years.

I'll end my blog with Ramirez's famous quote "Serial killers do on a small scale what governments do on a large scale".

This blog is open to criticism as it is much appreciated! Please comment below if you know more about Ramirez or a serial killer more fascinating than him. Thank you
