30 Days of Touchdown: Gain Grounding - Day 6

KINDLY COMPLIMENT.

Compliment at least 3 people on anything - skills, character, effort, style…) Refrain from complimenting on someone’s anatomy - birth-given or paid for. It will make you focus more on what makes humanity so awesome. Why do this? This will keep you in the moment and away from a wandering mind of the A-Z that you need to accomplish in the next 5 minutes. Focus on where you are. Be in the moment.

So often our heads are up in space for whatever reason, be it good or bad. That can lead to a lot of problems, even to the point where it can be dangerous if we’re not looking where we’re going. But, since your focus is to find things to compliment, you should be able to stay aware and grounded in your day.

Concentrate on gaining your grounding by making someone else feel good. And, note that it’s at least three people. You can compliment as many as you want for as many days as you want as long as that doesn’t get you to lose your focus for the day. You can do this challenge for as many days as needed to make sure you stay in your moment.

If this is something you usually do, congrats! Try complimenting that person to someone else. You can ask for their manager if they work at the place. Tell the person they're with how great they are. Make their awesomeness known to those around you. Have a great time keeping someone's day great.
