The candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP the Ekiti State governorship election held on Saturday, Professor Olusola Eleka massively won in his polling unit even as counting of votes are still ongoing in many parts of the state.

The PDP governorship candidate scored 452 votes in his polling unit in Ikere Ekiti.

His closest challengers, Dr John Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC), scored 105 votes.

It will be recalled that Prof. Eleka was initially unable to vote as the the card reader failed to read his PVC twice.

However, he eventually voted at 11.10am after he was manually accredited.
