If you believe in ghosts, you are not alone.
Cultures around the world believe in the spirits that have escaped death to live in another world.
In fact, ghosts are among the most widely accepted beliefs among supernatural phenomena: millions of people are interested in ghosts, and the Gallup poll in 2005 found that 37 percent of Americans believe in the existence of inhabited homes - and nearly half believe in ghosts.
Ghosts have been a common theme for thousands of years and have been shown in countless Bible stories to Macbeth, and they have even produced their own folklore: ghost stories.
Part of the reason is that faith in the existence of ghosts is part of a larger network of similar supernatural beliefs, including the NDE, life after death and communion with the spirits.
It has not been until the last decade that ghost hunting has become a widespread concern around the world.
Much of this is due to the series of cable TV Syfy, which is known as "ghost hunters," which is now in its tenth season and has not found compelling evidence of the presence of ghosts.
This series has produced numerous side-shows, including "International Ghost Hunters" and "Ghost Hunter Academy". It is not hard to see why this program was so popular: the assumption is that anyone can search for ghosts.
The original stars were ordinary men (actually, in fact) who decided to look for evidence of the existence of spirits.
Their message: You do not need to be a high-level scientist, or even for any training in science or investigation. All you need is some free time, a dark place, and maybe a few gadgets from an electronics store.
If you are looking sufficiently, any unexplained light or sensation may be evidence of the presence of ghosts.
Science and logic of ghosts:
Personal experience is something, but scientific evidence is another matter.
Part of the difficulty in investigating ghosts is that there is no universally agreed definition of what a ghost is.
Some believe that they are the souls of the dead who for some reason "tahwa" on their way to the other side, while others claim that ghosts are instead titular beings projected in the world by our minds.
Some even create their own categories of different kinds of ghosts, such as evil spirits, evoking past tragic scenes, intelligent spirits and shadow groups.
Of course, they are all fabricated, such as speculation about different races of the fairies or dragons, in short: there are types of ghosts as you want to be.
There are many contradictions inherent in ideas about ghosts.
For example, are ghosts material or not? Either they can move across solid objects without disturbing them, or they can clap open doors and throw things around the room.
Logically and naturally, it is either this or that. If ghosts are human beings, why do not they appear clad in clothes and in rigid (presumably soulless) things like hats, sticks and dresses - not to mention numerous reports of trains, cars, and ghost cars?
If the ghosts are the souls of those dead who have not avenged them, why there are still unresolved murders, since it is said that the ghosts are in contact with psychological mediators, and should be able to identify their killers to the police.
And so on; just about any claim about ghosts raises logical reasons for doubt.
Ghost hunters use many creative (and suspicious) methods to detect the presence of spirits, often involving intermediaries.
Almost all ghost hunters claim to be scientific means, most of which give that appearance because they use high-tech scientific equipment such as Geiger counters, electromagnetic field detectors (EMF), ion detectors, infrared cameras and sensitive microphones.
However, none of this equipment actually showed the revelation of ghosts ever.
Other people took a completely opposite approach, claiming that the reason why ghosts do not exist is that we simply do not have the right technology to find or reveal the world of spirits.
But this too can not be true: either ghosts exist and appear in our normal physical world (and thus can detect and record photographs, movies, video and sound recordings), or they do not exist.
In the case of ghosts and the possibility of detection or scientific registration, we have to find compelling evidence for that - so far we do not do so. In the case of ghosts, but not being detected or scientifically recorded, all images, videos and other recordings that are alleged to be evidence of ghosts can not be monsters.
With so many contradictory fundamental theories - and a little science used to influence the subject - it is not surprising that despite the efforts of thousands of ghost hunters on television and elsewhere for decades, no single compelling evidence has been found of the presence of ghosts .
Why many believe?
Many people believe that the existence of ghosts can not be supported by less than the hard science that explains modern physics.
It is widely claimed that Albert Einstein proposed a scientific basis for the reality of ghosts.
If energy can not be created or destroyed but only changes its shape, what happens to the energy of our bodies when we die? Can it somehow be reflected as a ghost? Sounds like a reasonable assumption - unless you understand the basics of physics.
The answer is very simple, not ambiguous at all. When someone dies, the energy in his body goes where the energy of all living things goes after their death: in the environment.
The energy is released in the form of heat, transported to the animals that eat us (ie wild animals if left unburied, or worms and bacteria if we are buried), and the plants that absorb us.
There is no physical "energy" that can escape death to be detected by common ghost hunting devices.
If the ghosts are real, a kind of energy or entities that are not yet known, they will be verified by scientists through controlled experiments (like all other scientific discoveries), not by the weekend ghost hunters who walk around houses Abandoned in the dark late at night with cameras and hand lamps.
In the end (and despite the huge number of mysterious images, sounds and videos), evidence of ghosts is no better today than it was a year ago, 10 years ago or a century ago.
There are two possible reasons for the failure of ghost hunters to find good evidence.
The first is that the ghosts do not exist, and that the ghosts reported can be explained by psychology, misconceptions, errors and tricks.
The second option is that ghosts are present, but ghost hunters are simply incompetent.
In the end, ghost hunting is not evidence (if true, the search has been abandoned for a long time).
Instead, his goal is to play with friends, to tell stories, to enjoy and pretend to search on the edge of the unknown.
In the end, everyone likes to hear a good story about ghosts.
